37+ Minimalist Bullet Journal Spreads You Have To Try Right Now
I love minimalist Bullet Journal Spreads. They are so easy to recreate and nice to look at.
I consider myself a ‘bullet journal minimalist’ as I like to Keep things simple and functional in my BuJo.
I also honestly believe they are the easiest type of spreads to make for newbies. Instead of getting overwhelmed by all the color and washi-tape, a minimalist spread is a great place to start. Personally, my bullet journal leans more towards minimalist simply because I don’t have the time to constantly be decorating it.
The main benefits of a minimalist bullet journal are it focuses on the tasks more than anything, you can start one with just a pen, ruler, and notebook.
Whatever your bullet journal aesthetic may be, you’ll find something here you’ll love…
If you’re new to bullet journals read this post first: What is Bullet Journaling and How Do I Start?
Tools:
Before we dive right in, I want to mention the tools I have found and use for Bullet Journaling. If you’re just starting out on your BuJo journey, these are the tools I wish I had purchased at the beginning instead of overpriced books and markers that ‘professional bullet journal-ers’ recommended me.
- I use this journal, which is a dupe to the cult-favorite Leuchtturm1917. The only difference is the pages aren’t numbered. No biggie.
- This is the black pen I use for writing in my dailies and such.
- I get these colorful markers for decorating.
- Metal Stencils to help me decorate and design my journal. They come with a little carry case and ruler.
That’s it. And to be completely transparent, I only use the markers and stencils a couple of times a month, when I set up new pages, or am bored and want to decorate.
They’re great to have on hand for when you’re trying to figure out how to decorate your bullet journal.
BUT, the bread and butter of a bullet journal is simply a pen and a notebook you carry with you regularly. Don’t get too crazy in the beginning as you figure out what pages do and don’t work for you.
Especially for minimalist BuJo’s you only really need the notebook and pen.
