Books are one of my favorite topics. I love the possibility of reading and entering into another persons reality.

The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho
This book is probably on every top 5 list on the internet, and for good reason. If you have yet to pick this one up, I urge you to consider reading it next.
This book touches a bit upon ‘the law of attraction,’ but I promise you it is not woo-woo at all. It is however a highly spiritual book that makes you realize how life is an adventure and you need to be courageous and persistent in the pursuit of your dreams. It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad – Robert Kiyosaki
My father gave me this book when I was in middle school, and although I didn’t really fully grasp it at the time, I reread it in college and it has completely changed my mindset about money.
I grew up with a ‘poor dad’ mentality and never fully understood wealth or how to create it. This book has completely changed the way I approach making money and my feelings towards it.
I genuinely think I would not be as successful as I am today if I had not read this book in college.

The Miracle Morning – Hal Elrod
This ones a short read that will completely transform your mornings and life if you stick with it.
After reading this book I have created a morning routine I feel has redirected my life. If you don’t have a morning routine, you are probably waking up and just betting on things to work out instead of being in control of your life and focusing on what really matters to you.

The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck – Mark Manson
There are many things in life you don’t need to pay attention to or stress out about. Mark makes a great case for reserving our F*cks for the things that really matter. Life isn’t as complicated as we think it is, most of our problems and stress originates from giving a f*ck about the wrong things,

The Power Of Now – Eckhart Tolle
One of the main reasons we have a hard time is because we’re either reliving the past or anxious about the future, The Power of Now helps us break that cycle. By focusing on the moment, the present, we are able to live fully and become much more content with our lives.
I personally was always thinking about the future. At work I was thinking about what I was going to make for dinner. At home I would think about all the work I had to do the following day. I was never really present in the moment and always living in the future. This book has changed my mentality and whenever I feel myself leaning into the future I’m able to catch it and bring my thoughts to the present moment.

Linchpin: Are You Indispensable? – Seth Goden
This is a great book for anyone, regardless of what career or where you are in life. He advocates for just doing the work regardless of what people think or say. Seth has inspired me (and many others) to no longer follow the norm, but instead create my own path.

How To Win Friends And Influence People – Dale Carnegie
Regardless of whether you work alone or in a group environment, are introverted/extroverted, or just flat out don’t like people, you need to read this book. It should be mandatory reading in school actually. We have to deal with other humans, there’s no way around it. And in order to build a better life and business we need to learn how to become more influential to those around us.

The One Thing – Gary Keller
We live in a society where we are bouncing twenty projects at once and have a full schedule. Gary shows us there is a lot of power in concentrating all your energy on less and in turn doing more. I still take on more than one project at a time, but I have (since reading this book) been much more selective and attentive to where I place my time and energy.
..
Do The Work – Steven Pressfield
Sometimes we want to be lazy and wish we could just fast forward to the part of our lives where we are successful millionaires, right? I know I do. This book, however, taught me the importance of actually doing the work. No one can do it for you, and if they did, the end result would never be as satisfying. This book taught me that the journey (work) is just as important (and meaningful) as the destination.

Essentialism – Greg McKeown
For someone who enjoyed the concept of minimalism but never found it to be practical, this book was a godsend. It’s that perfect balance. By being much more selective with our time and energy we are able to have full control over our choices and, essentially, our lives so we may contribute to what really matters to us. “Essentialism isn’t one more thing; it is a different way of doing everything.”
