8 Vision Board Ideas To Manifest Your Dreams

Trying to create your dream life?! Get inspired with these vision board ideas!

The best thing about vision boards is they are completely unique to who you are and what you want in life!

No two vision boards will ever be the same. And they shouldn’t be!

Most people, when they think ‘vision board,’ they automatically think of a big poster board that gets hung in their bedroom. And although that is one way to go about it, it certainly isn’t the only one.

You can have a vision board as a Pinterest board, in your bullet journal, or even on a piece of paper that you carry around in your purse. There are no rules.

Yearly Goal Board

You do not have to start an annual goal board in January each year, you could start it in any month you feel motivated!

The older you get, the more you realize how fast a year goes by, and how much time we waste by not have direction. By creating a yearly goal board, you are clearly setting your goals and expectations for yourself, helping them be easier to track.

You could even turn this into a goal book, with different targets to meet along the way, whether it be at college or financially, with some self-care goals set in there as well!

Intention Board

Keeping intentions in mind during the day can help you become who you want to be, or feel more motivated to get through your classes and other tasks. It might also motivate you to pursue your dreams to get to where you want to be.

A simple intention board can be a few pictures and phrases cut out of a magazine, stuck into the front page of your diary, or onto your mirror. Make it somewhere you look at each morning or throughout the day, to remind you of your intentions.

Motivation Board

It can be difficult to stick to your goals and stay motivated when you don’t have a picture of the end result. This could be trying to exercise each day, or saving up enough money to travel (or both!).

Choose some pictures that show where you want to be, and what you want to achieve. These don’t have to be on one single board, you could stick them up through your room or apartment, and spread them out to where they might be appropriate.

You could put up a picture of your ideal holiday destination as your wallpaper on your laptop, to stop you from spending money online shopping for unnecessary items. Or you could put up a picture of a healthy, toned body on your fridge to stop you from snacking on unhealthy items!

Self-Love Board

Self-love is so important, yet something we do not spend enough time working on. A self-love vision board will be one of your greatest projects yet and will help you center yourself, remember what makes you strong, and even motivate you to develop further.

A good idea for a self-love board is to place the words “I Am” in the center of a board, and then place words around it which describe you, such as ‘brave’, ‘kind’, or ‘independent’. You could also place words there on how you would like to feel, to encourage you to work towards it.

Write some of your favorite positive affirmations on your vision board and make sure you repeat it to yourself on a regular basis.

The board could also describe your interests, such as “I am a bookworm”, this celebrates your unique qualities and the things you hold dear!

Fitness Vision Board Inspiration

Also known as ‘fitspiration’, a fitness inspiration board could be just what you need to get yourself on the path to a healthier, more active life.

There is so much that you could include in your fitspiration board. List your goals, by week, month, and year. List the awards you could give yourself when you reach these goals, such as a spa treatment, new shoes, and new clothes.

Display your daily workout plan on the board to keep you on track, and some inspirational quotes and pictures to keep you motivated.

Looking for simple vision board ideas for weight loss?!

A creative idea is to have two pieces of strings suspended on the board. Have many pegs lined up on one – as many pegs as pounds you want to lose. As you lose the pounds, move the pegs to the pounds-lost string, to keep a visual track of your progress.

This will help you see the progress you’ve made and how far you’ve come!

There are a lot of benefits of visualization and just spending a couple of minutes a day looking at your vision board can have a profound impact on your life.

Professional & Career Vision Board

If your professional career is important to you, a professional vision board might help you reach your goals.

Use a mix of images and words on the board of how you want to achieve your professional goals, and what the end goal is for you (if there is one).

You could also set out ways to further yourself in your career, such as studying or networking, and some inspirational quotes to motivate you to do this.

If you’re unhappy in your current job, get very clear about what job you want.

What will the office look like? How will you show up?

Find pictures of dream offices, work outfits, and powerful quotes that help you embody the person you’re trying to become in this next phase of your life.

Success is up to you, and a little help from a professional vision board can only be a good thing!

Appearance Board

All of us have something we would like to work on, whether it be growing out our hair, having better-manicured nails, or a better skincare routine, whatever it is, staying motivated to work on your appearance can be hard.

Look through magazines and find pictures that inspire you, and which show what you want your end goal to be. Be realistic with yourself though – and don’t choose anything unobtainable.

This doesn’t have to be vain. It’s important to know how we want to show up in our daily life.

In the past, I would have days where I would be really dressed up and elegant and others where I barely brushed my hair. I got very clear with myself (and my vision board) about the type of person I wanted to be and how that would look.

For m that meant waking up a little earlier to make sure I did my hair, makeup, and pressed my clothes so I look put together. That doesn’t add more than 20 minutes to my morning and has made a WORLD of a difference.

Along with pictures of luscious locks and the perfect style, put tips and inspiration on how you can get there. It doesn’t happen on its own!
