16 Bullet Journal Travel Page Ideas To Inspire Some Serious Wanderlust
Planning a Trip? Here are 16 Travel Bullet Journal Page Ideas To Help You Plan and Organize the Journey
Two of my favorite things: Travel and Bullet Journals! I feel like planning a trip can be just as fun as the actual trip. Just creating your itinerary, doing all the research, and making lists and to-do’s leading up. Ugh!! Just writing about it gets me excited!
Perhaps you thought your bullet journal was just for simple, every day things like grocery shopping lists or remembering your homework. And although that’s a great use for it, the BuJo is multi-dimensional and great for any situations in life you’re planning.
TOOLS
Before we dive right in, I want to mention the tools I have found and use for Bullet Journaling. If you’re just starting out on your BuJo journey, these are the tools I wish I had purchased at the beginning instead of overpriced books and markers that ‘professional bullet journal-ers’ recommended me.
- I use this journal, which is a dupe to the cult-favorite Leuchtturm1917. The only difference is the pages aren’t numbered. No biggie.
- This is the black pen I use for writing in my dailies and such.
- I get these colorful markers for decorating.
- Metal Stencils to help me decorate and design my journal. They come with a little carry case and ruler.
That’s it. And to be completely transparent, I only use the markers and stencils a couple of times a month, when I set up new pages, or am bored and want to decorate. The bread and butter of a bullet journal is simply a pen and a notebook you carry with you regularly. Don’t get too crazy in the beginning as you figure out what pages do and don’t work for you.

How Do I Use A Bullet Journal For Traveling?
The answer: However you want! The long answer: To create packing lists, itineraries, keep track of reservations, dates, stay within your travel budget, or as memorabilia and paste pictures from your trip into the journal! The possibilities are endless. there are so many moving parts of a trip you really can get carried away with it however you please.
Create a Travel Bucket List
Even if you don’t have a trip coming up, having a travel bucket list is such a great idea to get inspired. Just seeing the word ‘Paris’ and a little doodle of the Eiffel Tower makes me feel better. I go off into my own head and visualize myself in these beautiful cities, what I’ll do when I’m there, who I’ll meet, the whole shebang!
Anything that helps you feel excited is a great thing. This travel bucket list brings out the little kid in me.

Create a Packing List
How is it that even though I’m a chronic over-packer, I always forget something. With a packing list prepared a couple weeks ahead of the trip (before the stress of traveling starts to set in), you can assure yourself you don’t forget
Travel Savings Tracker
A nice vacation can be such a great motivator. Keep yourself accountable with this travel savings tracker and before you know it, you’ll be on the beach sipping pina-coladas.
A Color World Map
This is such a nifty idea! Create a world map and color in the countries you’ve been to. One of my life goals is to go to every country 9within reason) in the world, so having my map full is a big goal for me.
Create a Plan
Plan your whole trip on a BuJo spread. Create your packing list, write down things you want to do and see, and even paste a little map so you don’t get lost!
Plan That Dream Summer Roadtrip
You absolutely need a plan for a road trip. It isn’t one of those things you should just wing. Look to Kara for inspiration in creating a beautiful and functional spread for that dream road trip through the Carolinas or Rockies.
Create Memorabilia
Quite possibly my favorite way to use a Bullet Journal is to fill it with memories and pictures! You BuJo is such a personal part of your story, like a diary in a way. Fill it with happy, beautiful memories of your travels to look back on and and remind yourself of the great trip you’re taking.
